Taking advantage of these propitious conditions, the organization began to focus its business strategy on ambitious projects aimed at expanding distribution channels for our financial services.

The core of these projects is to market the group's mutual funds based on their superior yield and liquidity and their simple and clear management, operation, valuation and rating procedures.

Grupo Financiero Interacciones has designed a number of mutual funds for the middle-income segment, giving both medium-sized and small savers access to the same investment opportunities that large investors enjoy.

Another key strategic decision was to boost the distribution of Interacciones' financial services through the electronic media, which can efficiently handle transactions and reduce costs to the benefit of both this organization and our customers.

At present, Grupo Financiero Interacciones has a systems platform that allows 100% of our services to be operated electronically over the Internet-the use of which is growing rapidly in Mexico, particularly among young people.

With these objectives in mind, we formed a strategic alliance with Todito.com, which is key to expanding the distribution media for the Group's services. The alliance encompasses a novel and aggressive marketing scheme, combining Interacciones' excellent financial services and technological sophistication with the extensive coverage and electronic-media advertising capacity of a widely-used portal like Todito.com.

Another part of this ambitious marketing project was the startup of a plan to strengthen the promotional areas of the bank and brokerage firm with the goal of doubling both the customer base and loan portfolio by the end of 2001.
